Dr. V.K. Raju, M.D., F.R.C.S., F.A.C.S., Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia, USA, is the chief consultant of the Institute. 

Dr. Raju has been volunteering his services in providing eye care and training for ophthalmologists since last 20 years. He visits the Institute 2 or 3 times in a year, provides consultations to patients and training to doctors and performs various kinds of surgeries.

Dr. S.Chandrasekhar, Ph.D., Executive Trustee of Sankurathri Foundation is also the Director of the Institute. He directs the various programs and supervises day-to-day activities of the Institute.

	Performed about 65% of the total surgeries conducted in East Godavari District.
	Improving the quality of eye care in the community by proving training to 27 Ophthalmologists and 147 Ophthalmic Assistants.
	Increasing the awareness about eye care through various media.
